Logo design and rebranding has always been one of the apsects why I love designing. it allows me the creative freedom to design a mark that represents a company.
In 2011, I was commissioned to redesign the existing logo of Euro-Chill, one of the brands created by local leading supplier of commercial kitchen / F&B Equipment in Singapore, U-Save F & B Equipment Pte Ltd (U-SAVE).
I was tasked to give their brand of commercial chiller & freezer products an updated look.

Design Process
A. Research
Before I embark on any ideas, my first process will be to talk to the client. Ask them why are they looking to redesign the logo. What do they like or dislike about the existing logo. What are the changes they are looking forward to see? What kind of image do they want to portray with the new logo? Who are their target audience? Do they have any idea in mind?
By talking to the clients, you will save alot of time second guessing. Most of the time clients, some clients already know what they want, but they need a hand in refining the idea.
B. Concepts
I started out with sketches of my ideas. Sketching is always a best way for me to start my brainstorming of ideas. There are sometimes where I will head straight onto the computer to design. But overall, sketching allows me to out my ideas down straight away and to refine it later.
Below are some of my inital sketched out ideas.
C. Execution
After narrowing in down on afew concepts, I procced to refine them in Illustrator and proposed them to the clients.
D. Presentation and Selection
After presentation, some clients will be able to select a design or they might ask for some changes to a few of them before they finalised on a choosen design.
E. Polishing up
After selection of the one design and a few rounds of tweaking with input from the client, this is the final result.

And I am happy to say that I have spotted my redesign Euro-Chill logo across the island since the brand of chillers and freezers are mostly used by cafes! So if any of the cafe owners sees a guy posing with your chillers to take pictures. Don't freak out!
