Created by the good guys at Zulu Alpha Kilo, the video shows a guy going around asking for spec work aka 'the pitch' (You know, the kind that goes, "Agency to submit 3x concepts & quotation. And we will get back to you if your agency is selected").

The design/advertising/media/creative industry has had a too long practice of getting people to work for free and then later decide if they are going to pay for it. This is MADNESS!

Uncle must be thinking "Ji kor siao ding ting dong aye"

Try going to the Char Kway Tiao uncle and tell him to fry you a plate of noodles and say you will pay him if you like it after eating. Or tell him to add an additional egg without paying for it. Chances are, you might see the egg flying your way.

"There are other restaurant that will do it for free"

"Then go for it! Get out of here."

Chances are, there will always be clients who request for such unusual work. It is really up to the industry to say no to it. And of course, there will also be great clients who pays you more after the project is completed. That said, bring a mug like the one below from DesignTAXI over to a meeting next time when you are expecting a client like that.
